we have had our prodigy since 2001 and it works very good for us and no reason to think we need more but I have hit the button to change the boost at times but having worked in construction my entire working I can still push a button with out difficultly. It is important to have the trailers brakes adjusted properly.

It's not a good feeling to be set on 1 when out on the highway and you hit the brakes then try to bump up to 3. That is the reason I would never tow with a P2 again.
A guy would have to be stupid or very uninformed to do as you think.
Not how it is done I would hope.
chevman
Are you saying you leave yours set on one setting ALL the time?
Yes but if I pull into a gravel rv park I might hit the boost to the #1 setting and back to the 2nd boost when leaving. One finger job and that it's.

Go to the manufacturer's web site and download a user's manual. Then adjust away.

chevman - jjjExplorerX2 on the Max brake. I just put in my Max brake last year and I must say it was the best 350.00 up grade for my braking. It works like it was a built in system. I don't sweat the stopping anymore. I can't believe the difference. I bet if everyone knew the difference it made they would not be out of buisness. I was going to buy one for my brother for a Christmas present when I found out they were gone. :(
- Cummins12V98Explorer IIIIMHO P2=POS
Sucks having to constantly change from light to heavy setting.
A shame MaxBrake is no longer being made.
