Does anyone know how many hitch failures there have been where the whole hitch came loose from the truck bed? I see this as being the kind of situation where the breakaway cable might not get pulled to activate the trailer brakes. I think if it's a jaw failure and the king pin comes loose, the breakaway cable would get pulled because the cable is attached to the hitch that remains bolted to the truck bed floor or am I missing something?
