Bridgestone Duravis R265 as %th Wheel Tire

Hi Team,

Any thoughts on the Bridgestone R265 tires for use on a 5th wheel.

Please do not take this thread down the "trailer versus Light Truck Tire" path.

Just looking for feedback on the Bridgestone R265 versus the R250.

Thanks
Dan

  • The R265 is a poly ply carcass and the R250 is a steel ply carcass. R250 tread is similar to a long haul trailer tire tread and the GY G614 trailer tire.

    TV = R265
    Trailer = R250

    R265 is an A&S tread design with lots of sipes and breaks in the outer ribs. To much grip in tight maneuvers.

    R250 is a better tread for a trailer application.

    R265

    R250

    I have been using R250's on my trailer for two years after 6.5 years on Michelin XPS Ribs.

    If you want to stay with a poly carcass Bridgestone, then look at the R500 HD.
