Broken spring on pull down bed

Question

Last trip out one of the springs on my pull down bed snapped. Made it extremely heavy and the bed is now stuck down. Any one else have this issue happen? I've been looking online for parts or a possible fix. I have not torn it apart yet. It's a 2002 16' fun runner. I can't be the only one with this issue?

On the arms that pull down with the bed I'm assuming there's a spring in there. It made a loud popping noise and the bed fell to the down position. I believe here are springs on either side to assist the bed going up and down.

No there the big brackets with arms that hold the bed I will take pictures when I can. Thanks for the responses!
