Bump on 2019 Eagle?

Hey guys I just spoke to another dealer and they were super nice and that guy seems to think it’s just a superficial flaw in the fiberglass itself, and it’s nothing to worry about. They said it happens, if there was a little too much of the stitching clumped right there. I will definitely call Jayco and ask.

Get some better pictures if you can. Send them to the factory and get their take on it. Imperfections in a fiberglass wall are easily repaired by most RV or Marine bodyshops. Anyone with experience working with fiberglass. They will not have to replace the entire wall panel which in most cases is not even possible. The shop that just painted my front cap deals with these things every week.

The dealer says they have no more of these in stock, but this flaw is nothing and many of them have these issues. They said it would never get worse and if I wanted I could have them fix it by cutting it out and refiberglassing it or live with it or order one and wait 11 weeks.

Thanks Ralph, but if it’s really minor, the picture makes it look a ton worse is this a deal breaker? Like I said the loan and everything has already been completed. Am I making a big deal out of a nothing? This is literally the only big $65,000 model they have anywhere near here, I’ve been everywhere. Thanks again guys!

More common than one might think. Look inside in that area and youll probably find a cabinet cleat or partition. Some dummy on the line used too long of a screw. If not then their was a piece of debris on the panel between the layers and they ran it through the pinch rollers. Says a lot for any Jayco QA or QC, or any delivery inspection by the dealer.

The dealer will have some excuse so do not buy it. He'll just leave it on the lot until someone comes along who will does not notice it. To repair would require changing the entire wall panel.

It is sticking out but you can only see it if you get at the right angle from the front. If you look from the side you can’t see it, if you look at the angle from the back towards the front you can’t really see it either. To me it looks like either a protrusion from the inside or a flaw in the laminate.. the bank has already written them the check and I’m supposed to take delivery of it next Thursday but now I don’t know what to do.. I don’t want to buy problems.. yet I don’t want to make an issue out of something that may just simply be a little flaw in the laminate...

Get a special warranty from the manufacturer covering the bump? Personally I’d pass.

Looks like an indent to me. I would not be happy unless an extra discount was applied. It may not get any worse, but I would always be seeing it. Like anything new, it's just a matter of time before the first dent scratch.

On edit: If it is truly sticking out, I'd be more concerned about it getting worse.

Thanks guys, now I’m really disappointed. It is sticking out, or protruding. I think the picture kind of makes it look a little worse, but it can definitely be spotted.

Hard to tell from the picture if the flaw is concave or convex. My bet is something crunched into the side of the unit during transport or storage at the dealer's lot. Either way it shouldn't be there on a new unit. It either got smacked by something or something in the wall is protruding...

I see a fairly major repair or a nice discount..even it it's just cosmetic.
