Buying our first FW tomorrow-advice?

Congrats on taking the plunge!! I see your hooked on the Crossroads but did you give Cedar Creek a solid look? Pass on the extended warranty, I think there useless for everybody but the salesman.I have the fireplace and I like it however it doesn't heat my whole fiver but it's nice to look at in the evening. As for the slide toppers I would pass on them, over a time they will sag and mine really don't do much but keep falling leaves off the slide roofs and I always check under them before I put my slides in anyway, I might want to consider putting an awning on the slide next to the entry door instead, I have one and with both awnings extended that gives a lot of shaded area on those hot sunny days also with my slide awning extended it helps a ton on keeping the living room cool by cutting down on the sun shining into it which will spare your AC a bit. Lastly consider an air ride pin box/suspension like a Trail Air and Center Point suspension, I have both and wouldn't be without it, in my opinion having my fiver on an air ride suspension gives it a smooth ride which I think will extend the life of my rig by it not bouncing around shaking itself to bits and finally play hardball with the dealer, perhaps get the hitch and installation thrown in, things aren't that great still and their mark-up is pretty good, you should get accurate quotes from several other dealers on the exact same models, you'd be surprised at the difference!
