Any factory warranty might only be for the roof itself. Almost all other warranties are for 1 year or 2 years tops. The plus is that if there were problems they may have already been repaired. Negotiating an extended warranty is a good idea, keep in mind that these are profit centers for the dealer - so the key word is to negotiate, you can get their price way down. Do it was part of the purchase offer not when the finance paperwork guy meets with you.
A PDI or Pre-Delivery Inspect is a must IMHO. This should be done before you sign any final ownership paperwork. Once they have your money you have lost any position to negotiate. You can do it yourself or usually hire somebody to do it for you. Here is a site you can download a PDI check list, about the only thing to add is to inspect the rear ramp door and bring 5 gallons of gas to make sure the fuel station works.
