buying used generator online
How many of you folks purchased your used Onan or equivalent generator from an online site such as eBay or Craig's list...?? I have heard bad things about Craig's list , but just testing the wate...

I noticed eBay has refurbished Champion 3100s from a generator supply. It says refurbished and tested by the manufacturer. Also states less than 20 hours running time on any, and most with only a few hours. May have slight cosmetic damage.
I'm not sure this type of purchase would be safe, but seems more so, than buying from an online individual. I have very little use for a generator, so have been considering this type of purchase.
