B&W Companion Hitch Shock replacement

Just called B&W and they are sending me a new shock for my RVB3300 hitch. Wow. No money required, will be here on a couple days. Now, how do I replace it? Has anyone done this? Does it require taking the whole upper end apart?

Jerry, really?? You want Ron to report you to the B&W club??

Did you know there is 1 single grease zerk as well?

Ron kind of owes me, from helping him recover from a forum issue a while back, so doubt he will make an official report.:p

Yes Joe, I know about the zerk, but thanks for the heads up!

Maybe Barney can remove all posts necessary, to make the red face go away!!

B&W is very good about standing behind their product, even if the owner causes the issue.

Not sure of what "shock" you are referencing? If you mean one of the rubber topped arms, they are easy to replace. You just release the head, lift off, and then unbolt the arm. Be sure to properly torque all bolts during assembly.

Jerry, Jerry, Jerry your B&W status may be in danger by being so uninformed. ;)
