If you high hitch the bottom of the pin box is sitting 2" higher than the top of the 5th hitch. That would be so obvious I'm not sure how someone could actually not notice it. Plus like already mentioned, if you're using the B&W correctly then you've pulled the handle back towards the cab and when the pins locked in the handle moves forward as you back in.
I believe this is true for most 5th wheel hitches. I know it is for my Reese Elite. But somehow there have been many who most likely did a high hitch.
