Boy, I'm not sure if I want to get in on this argument---oh, what the heck. Here goes.
I have a steel Andersen on a B&W Turnover Ball, in a Ram short bed. It works just fine for me. My bride guides me to the trailer due to the fact that Ram has high headrests and I can't see the ball. One does have to raise the hitch higher then a conventional hitch-the TV does move forward when unhitching-the older style funnel works fine-we don't have chucking-I can lift the Andersen in and out easily-the king pin box does rub the side rail of the truck when turned sharply-the cost was less then other hitches-and it's black.
Having just written this, I would also like to try a Companion hitch just for fun.
