Steve76 is correct. I took my Class A test in Ca and only had to get the trailer parked within the cones and the tester said it didnt matter where the truck was. Same with the curbs and asking about signs. I took the test with a crewcab longbed pulling a 40 ft gooseneck. I took the test in Placerville.
