About 2 years ago a friend of mine said CHP had one of their mobile scales setup on the side of the road on the way to Glamis. I can guarantee you one thing about the CHP, if they can find a way to get money out of you, they will.
Additionally, some people are just begging to get cited. I'll be on the 10 heading to Havasu for Thanksgiving, and you'll see all the Glamis bound doing 65+ from the 60/10 split through Morongo. Just put an LED sign on your rig that says "Pick me!" And I bet a dollar to a doughnut that when you hand over your license and it says "Class C" on it, he's going to walk about and look at the sticker on your trailer. Oh yeah.
