CoolBreeze01:
I've been researching this topic and the thread caught caught my eye. The info. you posted regarding CA non-commercial Class A is very helpful. However, no where does anything directly relate to pulling a goose neck 2 horse living quarter trailer (strictly for pleasure, i.e., horse camping, local competitions, etc.) more than 150 miles from my home. The GVWR sticker on the trailer lists 10,040 lbs.& DMV registration lists unladen weight at 6440.
Also have 2005 Keystone Cougar (under 15,000 lbs.)
My hauling truck is 2005 GMC Silverado Duramax with GRWR of 9200 and DMV registration says weight unladen is 6611 lbs. The GAWR for front says 4670 and GAWR for rear says 6084.
For the most part, my speed is within posted limit (maybe 5 mph over). I'm trying not to lose sleep, but wouldn't want to be cited for driving "out of class" or worse, sued if an accident occurred.
Any additional info. specifically related to hauling my LQ horse trailer would be most appreciated or suggest a resource I can check.
Thanks.
