Camping season is looking pretty much over around here

In preparation for a two week trip to the North Shore of Lake Superior next week, just added two 60w heating pads to my aux water tank. Will be adding some heat trace to the feed hose and pump head after work.

Only made it to 90 degrees yesterday, and will likely be the same today. Still too hot for really pleasant camping.;)

They're talking snow on the Peaks in Flagstaff today, as the tail-end of Rosa passes through. No hint as to snow level, though. Not like they're 12,635', or anything. :B

How do you secure your firearms when away from the trailer?

Ouch. Not around here in Southern/Central Idaho. We've got probably a good month and a half left if you're willing to tolerate high 20's to low 30's lows for sunny, warm 50's - 60's days around a campfire. In fact that's the time of day my DH and I really like campfires because then we don't have to stay up late to put it out.

Stinks about the farmers crops. I was using the woodstove yesterday all ready.
