Can you have to much tire?

What I mean is my toy hauler has a GVWR of 8800# and wears 225/75/15 D range tires. My local discount tire doesn't have any D tires in stock but is making me a deal on a set of E range tires for the same price. Are there any adverse effects of going to a tire with a higher load range? I wouldn't think so but I figured I'd ask around

Thanks
  • If they're made in CHINA shop for another tire as there is no deal worthy of damage caused by an exploding tire. Maxxis is very reliable or perhaps Michelin RIB.
  • If they are "ST" then there is no way to have too much tire.
16" LT might be just enough.
  • I did the same thing with Discount. Same size in fact. Just make sure that your rims are rated for the higher pressure of an "E" tire (80 psi). The max pressure for the rims are usually stamped on them on the inside part of the rim.
  • Get them if they are made by a good company not ones like the power king-tow max that keystone uses that I have had 3 tires go bad 2 blew one took off before it happened. less then 2 years.
