While I agree that the air quality is vastly better than it was when I was growing up, your population argument isn't making your case.

More "native Californians" leave this state, compared to Americans from other states streaming in. The vast majority of people "streaming in" to CA are so-called "foreign immigrants" and I'll let you guys determine where they're coming from.
