IMO you'll run our of service time before either will wear out. If you only put 1,000 miles a year on then that's 5-7,000 miles. Depending on what site you read, tire service life runs between 5 and 7 years. If you have had no tire wear issues in the past then your axles, weight and TT are balanced right. I would get the Carlisle's. Save your money as they will need to be replaced before they wear out. I just got done running 10,000 miles on GY Marathon's and our new 5'er has GY Marathon's also. We put about 4,000 a year on our units so I'm just sticking with the GY's. I've never run Maxxix or any other brand for that matter, so all I can base my opinion on is the good service from my so called China bomb GY's. With all that being said not many people come on here and complain about Maxxis, so that makes it a good choice too. FWIW when my time comes to replace the tires I will jump to 16" rims and LT tires.
