Carlisle Radial Trail RH

Not sure what you mean by long term, but I've had a set on since last year. 235/80/16, LRE. Got about 3500 miles on them without any issues so far. Tows fine. I've been pretty happy with them.

Well, as long term as possible. I know they haven't been out very long. Just trying to keep the guy that bought some last month from chiming in. ;)

Just a bit of info I have picked up on while researching tire mfg's.
I see the tires you mention are rated for 87 mph . It just made me think of the following.

You might have to keep the same size tire on the same wheel.
I would not exceed the wheel and valve pressure rating.
Some tire mfg's tell customers to add 10 psi so they run them at 66-75 mph. It's not safe to do that on a tire if the wheel psi rating is exceeded. That will limit you to 65 mph.

Just wanted to share this info to make sure your new tires are a match up for the wheels you plan to use. Many people mismatch them and blame the tires when a failure occurs.

I've got 10,000 miles and 1 year with the Carlisle Radial Trail 225/75 R15 tires on my 5th wheel without any tire issues.

Good to hear. If I wear out my current tires, or when the warranty runs out, I'll be looking at the Radial Trails. I like the speed rating.

I was set to buy a set of RH Carlisles from Discount Tire. Then the sales guys at Discount called me to say they have a new Carlisle, the HD, which replaces the RH. Wont be getting the RH any more. THe HD is supposed to be a LR-D versus a LR-C on the RH. Also the new HD is rated at a higher speed if anyone wants to go that fast.So if it ever stops snowing/raining long enough I will get the new HD tires put on the trailer. Price difference was only about $2 per tire.

The op asked about the Radial Trail RH as Carlisle has marketed Radial Trail tires in the past.
Carlisle finished testing the RH in late '11 according to a press release on their website. The RH hit the streets in early '12 time frame so they simply haven't had years of service or long term miles of service to make a determination how they work for the long run.

The RH is one of the new gen ST tires that from their physical looks and very few complaints so far Carlisle may have a winner.

If I was interested in a ST tire it would be the Radial Trail RH as their available just about anywhere.

I wonder if that is a Discount Tire exclusive model. I only see the 'HD' tires on their website, not Carlisle's site.

I've had Carlisle Radial Trail RH in 15" Load range D on my rig for a couple of years. No issues.

I see the RH @ Discount Tire 225 75R 15 E.
