What I mean is you have the torn openings but you dont have a bunch of roughness where it was drug against a rough curb.
Is it possible that one small puncture occurred, perhaps in pictures 3 or 5, then as air escaped the tire was heated and stressed causing the other damage? (like in picture 4)

Have you had a tire shop look at the "remains"?
Nothing exploded, it ran until it overheated and separated.
