The leading tire shows recent scuffing which could be interpreted as brushing the object, but the real damage happened to this one, the trailing tire. It doesn't seem reasonable that an object could puncture the tire 3 times - but we're just guessing.
Is it possible that one small puncture occurred, perhaps in pictures 3 or 5, then as air escaped the tire was heated and stressed causing the other damage? (like in picture 4)

Just one so far, and without really examining the tire he just said "Made in China, there's your problem." I need more opinions.
Nothing exploded, it ran until it overheated and separated.
