I noticed where the names of Carriage and Cameo are coming back. As a owner of a 2011 Cameo this made me a little sick. Knowing they could probably never get the quality in their units as the original Carriage. The articles don't say but probably a Lippert frame. My goal will be a new Lifestyle, using the old Carriage quality.
I know what you mean as a former Carriage owner and now a Lifestyle owner, myself.
I seriously doubt that the "new" Carriage is anything like what you and I are used to. The quality of Crossroads seriously deteriorated when a former Carriage guy went there and shortened warranty period, etc.....
Crossroads/Thor purchased the Carriage/Cameo names at the Carriage auction.
From what I have seen of the units (while very attractive and offering some higher-end options), they appear to be rebadged Rushmore fivers with upgrades.
What I have read of the Rushmore line and from posts on the forums, Rushmore quality is lacking.
I think its very sage to say that the "new Carriage is nothing like the old. Like most, its built on an I-beam frame. Safe travels, Phillip
