- JvincentExplorerI will be towing a Side X Side utv. With trailer probably 3000lbs.
- reluyogExplorerHere are some sample pictures of the hitch I built for our '95 Carriage. The frame here is 2x6 box over 2x6 box for the majority of the trailer, however, the very rear portion has just one 2x6 overhung for a short distance. By removing the bumper I had access to the 2x6 and slid hitch components into the main frame. I didn't like what I saw from local fabricators, so I built my own. I hope this gives you some ideas.
- DurbExplorerI have to disagree. The Domani uses a Norco engineered frame rather than an in house welded unit. The frame itself is stamped metal of lighter gauge and is held together with huck style fasteners rather than welds. The frame is 19" high at the axles and tapers towards the rear. It seems to be very stout and capable for its intended purpose.
I can't say if it will support a hitch or not. I don't know if the lack of a rear bumper was for style reasons or structural. If you take it to a frame shop and get a professional opinion I would like to know what they say as a follow up.
The original brochure shows a picture of the rear of the frame. If you do not have a brochure go to oconnorrv.com, click NEW, click BROCHURES and they will have it on line for you. - SDcampowneroperExplorerYes, it will support a hitch. The Domani frame is the same as all other Carriage's
I have to ask, since the Domani was built as a 'singles pad" what you want to tow?
