Cart before the Horse? Just got 1st 5er... Need truck wisdom

All I know is:
We tow a 10300 pound (dry) fiver.
I think anything less than the RAM 3500 DRW we tow with would feel weak with the GVW we have on average.

Bottom line:
Glad we own and operate a 3500 DRW (wish it was an automatic trans for more capacity)
