Anna,
Congratulations on your new (to you) Fiver purchase. Hope
it brings many years of great memories....
As to the tow vehicle purchase... my thoughts...
-slow down, cleansing breath... take your time.
-read every post on this site in the tow vehicle section
and the 5th wheel commentary. (general RVing wouldn't
hurt either). Take notes.
-seems like your looking at a 3500/350 1 ton , single rear
wheel / dually, gas or diesel, your call.
-your first priority should be (since you purchased)...a thorough
inspection of all parts of the 5ver/(use this site for a
PDI checklist).
-review this site on the various types of 5th wheel hitches,
then make a step by step / 100% of the time, partner involved,
check at every hook-up/un-hook.
-if buying a used tow vehicle... have it checked out by a reputable
mechanic...
good luck... do not know what you have now, ... but that may factor
in... go slow, make informed decisions.
ps... try and put a moratorium on accessory purchases... same amount of attention to detail,.... brake controllers, back up systems, tire pressure monitoring systems, surge suppressors etc. ,....they will be there when you get a little bit more experience.
pss...try and learn the vernacular...will help.
Good luck... personally, I think you did it in the right order (controversial), but that is just me... have some fun.
