An RV'er who had a wreck and killed his daughter and seriously injured his son in NC ended up with felony charges because he didn't have an adequate TV to handle the trailer.

Thanks for the advice, I will re weigh again with just the truck.

I towed a combined weight of 20,500# with my 98 Ram 2500 12V 4X4. Had an exhaust brake. The truck sat level and towed really well. So your newer truck will be great!

Your not overweight in any legal sense. You are 940 lbs over the manufactures GVWR.

I have the same '03 2500 Dodge/Cummins truck and pull a 11200 lb 5er. My front axle weights are about 150 lbs lighter than yours and the 5460 lb number is your trucks rear axle weight numbers which mirrors my trucks rear axle weight numbers. No overweight. Your good to go.

As you I'm under the truck manufacturers certified FAWR/RAWR. Aside from your states registration weight (if you have any) were both have a legally loaded truck.

The only difference between his truck and the 3500 SRW 9,900 GVWR offering in 2003 was the rear spring pack, which added overloads and pads on the frame rails for them. SO! Throw air bags at it if it is sagging. GCWR was 21,000(3:73) and 23,000(4:10) for the 3500.

I have Firestone air bags, and only run 20psi to soften the load out, and save some wear on the overload springs. The only other upgrades I would like would be a B&W Patriot, and TrailAir pinbox. Thanks
