- rascalsweetExplorerI use mine on channel 19 for the drive to work, well the middle 25 miles. The language/content isn't really child friendly. I like the ideal of a RV channel, changing 13 when I'm pulling or traveling with the kids.
- dapperdanExplorerWe usually take one with us but not always. If you're going to Alaska though you'll need one, that's the only way to communicate there.
- hone_eagleExplorerMines on all the time, keeps us in touch with anyone traveling with us,traffic reports from truckers ,(get over to the left) or exit now its a cluster .... ! When things get profane I turn it way down.
- MarkTwainExplorerI miss CBs...
Sounds like several people agree, RV'rs use channel 13. Now make it so!
When I get the new truck, I'll mount the CB, and "have my ears on" for you all.
Just a thought to "make it so", Good Sam should start selling CB plates that could be attached to the rear ladder of our rigs. The CB plates, Like regular license plates, would have the following info.:
1. RVer's CB "handle/name
2. The channel numbers the RVer is communicating on i.e ch. 19, 17, 13 etc etc.
3. The plates would be made unique by using the same lettering, numbers, design icons and overall coloring.
I think most RVer's would be willing to pay for them if they were attractive and could be easily attached and taken off. Like those little black knobs that screw on and off. No drilling holes! I don't think anyone would object to Good Sam putting their logo. Good advertisement for their organization:) - MarkTwainExplorerWhat kind of CB are you using? A portable/ hand held or one that is mounted in the truck?
I use both. Midlands. The handheld is invaluable when you have a person guiding/talking to you when you are pulling/backing up your RV rig. The handheld CB enables the driver to communicate hands free. - Monaco_MontclaiExplorerIn valuable ---happy-camping
- Miles_AwayExplorerWe have a Cobra with a scanner, set to 13 & 19, and NOAA weather. Since we belong to a Good Sam Chapter (TENNESSEE VALLEY SAMS) and we sometimes travel in a group, we always use channel 13 to communicate.
- TrlrboyExplorerI used to have a CB in the truck. The only time I found it useful was when I was stuck in traffic and a trucker would explain why I was just sitting there.

- Water-BugExplorer III haven't used my CB in years but that is where I first used the "Waterbug" handle. I guess somethings never change.
