what is the best and closest campground for touring the markets and other attractions in C harleston, SC

- James Island County Park and Campground (maybe not that exact title).
- And they have shuttles.
- 3rd vote for James Island.
- What about Oak Plantation CG??
- I've camped at both James Island and Oak Plantation - access to Charleston is far faster from James Island. Oak Plantation was nice enough, but the distance tips the scales for me.
- If you are interested in military history check out Patriot's Point.
You can even walk the decks of the Yorktown - a war II aircraft carrier.
