It's an automatic dispenser, so you don't need to fool with it each time you dump...just fill the reservoir and forget it, till the water in the bowl turns clear. Best product we have found...:B

As others have said, it's a holding tank, not a septic system....but odors can be a problem in warm weather.

I normally stay a couple weeks at a time on a spot...often without sewer connections. Holding tanks (black and gray) can get pretty funky in two weeks.

Mr. Green is he best product I have ever used for holding tank odor.

It used to be hard to find, but is now available at Amazon, Walmart etc. It's good stuff.

We started the geo method last summer. And so far it has worked perfectly.
The only addition we add is a cascade platinum pod after dumping and 3-4 buckets of water.

If you feel the need to use something, the Campa-Chem product above is a good choice. About $1/bottle in 6-packs @ Wally World. We use nothing but lots of water when flushing. We use the tank flush every 3rd or 4th dump, depending on how much time I have to spend on it.

Also, get a clear drain hose fitting so you can see what is coming out of your tanks and when they are empty.
