The ninety fitting definately keeps the kinks out of the hose.
However, the conversion of a plunger into a pest/rodent control device was awesome.

X2 I have to agree! I have always used the "ninety", and even though I have full house filter, I install the Walmart blue filter! I have worried about rodent control, and used a rag, stuffed down the hole. I realize it won't stop them, but at least I would have an indication! The OP's solution is brilliant, got to try it! Thanks.
