city water running out

So while preparing to de-winterize for a trip to the coast, I hooked up city water to flush and charge the water heater. The water just runs through a line and out a line underneath. I can't find a valve that has got to be open. I'm new to this so need some direction on what to look for.
Help!
  • Thanks to everyone for the valuable information to a newbie like me. There were valves hidden behind the interior wall of the flow through storage compartment. The line had threads on the end as well so it now has a cap for good measure.
  • You state it was winterized, which tells me that maybe it was in cold weather. Maybe it didn't get winterized properly. Is it possible that a line froze and broke ?
  • Old-Biscuit wasn't specifically asking you about your medication, it's just his way of being humorous in his signature line and shows up in every post he makes on this forum.

Good luck closing off the lines and don't give up. Check all drawers, cabinets and compartments to see if you can find those caps somewhere. They were prob put somewhere where the person who winterized thought it would be an "easy place to remember". Hopefully it wasn't in his garage

One of the joys of RV ownership is learning how everything in your rig works/operates and eventually laughing when you look back at all the struggles you had and the RV pro you have become.
  • Since I purchased the unit used and I'm not the one who winterized it, taking my medication did not help so it looks like I'll have to cap it.
    Thanks for the info everyone!
  • My shut offs are inside the storage compartment, on the side entry door is on. Open door and look to left. Two pull on/off valves. Made unit made by Thor..
  • Low point drain valves are open, some units do not have valves, they use a cap on the end of the drain line. If your drain lines have threads on them there should be caps to put on there, if no threads then there are valves some where above. On my unit I have to remove the bottom drawer of the kitchen cabinet to get to the drain valves. Happy hunting. :)
