Just purchased a 2014 Mobile Suites Estates 39RESB3 5th wheel. Will be going full time work camping in 18 months. Now looking for truck and hitch. Saw an ad in Escapees Magazine for the Comfort Ride Hitch. Looks interesting, but expensive. anyone have any experience with this hitch? How doe it compare to the MorRyde pin box and IS suspension combo? thanks for your input.

I have a Comfort Ride 245 hitch in my truck and love it. I can give you a better review on pulling with the Mor/Ryde IS and pinbox after tomorrow. We pick up our new MS in the morning and leave Tuesday on a trip with it. Our current unit has a Mor/Ryde pinbox and it works great with it. I think with the Comfort Ride hitch and the Mor/Ryde IS and pinbox the ride is going to be very smooth. Let you know later in the week.

thanks Hunter11. will also be interested in how your truck pulls your MS. I'm considering the Chevy HD.. Had one years ago and really liked the Duramax diesel. my MS currently has a standard pin box and suspension. so I'll need to add the MorRyde IS. they I'll either go with the MorRyde Pin box or the Comfort Ride Hitch.

I bought the 25K airsafe hitch in 2006 when I bought my Carriage new. And you don't even know the 5th wheel is behind you going down the road. I have a 2001 F250 long bed truck. They don't give a air hitch away. But it is worth the money. If you like a smooth ride. The 5th wheel and the truck are not in a bind going down the road.

thanks handsome51. that's what I'm thinking. one or the other, but not both.

Trailer Saver is another option. I believe the BD-3 is the right model. Comfort Ride is designed by the same gy as the original Trailersaver before Hensley bought them. Dave moved on and started the Comfort Ride. Either hitch is worth the price.
