The side to side tipping of 5ver hitch made it easier to hitch back up again. I had the 20k Reese 5ver hitch (awesome hitch) with rails so I could convert back to a goose neck for my horse trailer
Goose necks: A lot of posts about them on the forum. They stress out 5vers since 5vers aren't designed for goose neck hitches. Some 5ver manufactures will void warranty if you use goose neck hitch. Normally people with stock or horse trailers have them and only adapt to 5ver because it is convenient to pull both types with their goose neck hitch. Look around and you will see damage on front of 5vers caused by being adapted to a goose neck hitch.
