We're first year winter fulltimers in Idaho. We put light blocking material up on the bedroom windows to make it a bit darker and also keep down some noise. Wouldn't you know it...I have enough mold behind that material to make penicillin? I have pulled all the material off, bleached everything, and am debating my options. Our fiver is a 1998, so I'm sure the windows aren't the best. That being said, I need to figure something else out. Any ideas would be appreciated. The fiver came with no curtains. Just metal blinds. Just hang a towel over the blinds to darken the room. If you have paper binders, or some of those spring loaded clips to keep potato chip bags closed, you can use those to clip the towel on the blind to block out light. This will let air flow, keep your windows a bit dryer, and give you more dark in the room.

That's a common problem when coldweather camping. Not a lot you can do; run a dehumidifier, maybe something like Damprid, but that probably won't keep up. Could crack a window or vent, but I'm guessing that's not a good option. Wipe the windows each morning to try to eliminate most of the moisture. Goodluck!

I have damprid in the closet (yep, it was in there too!) and the closet doors are open. I;m wondering about insulated curtains that I can pull to replace the blinds in there.

Only things I can offer are ventilation and a dehumidifier. That is what we do. :):C

As soon as it warms a bit, we have two Max-Air vent covers waiting to be installed. That should help too. :) Thanks for all the suggestions!

All we had to do to clear up are inter-sweating was crack a bath roof vent just enough to break the seal. A couple hours later all clear.

Well we used Dry-Z-Air until I spilled some of the liquid on a wood surface! I needed to rebuild the cabinet as the wood was always wet.

We have since gone with these, about once every three weeks to month bring them home and dry out.

The windows need ventilation in cold whether. When it gets to about zero we don't use the blinds in our stick and brick cause they will start to ice up on the inside bottoms. Kind of a drag with a clear full moon, but keeping the blinds open we have no ice build up whatsoever.

Go to a local hardware store. Buy a window insulation kit and apply to inside of window. It
Contains double stick tape and heat shrinkable clear plastic. You need to create a dead air space between the glass and the plastic. Very common in the north country.

We have insulated drapes over the large rear window and we even removed the sliding glass closet doors in the bed room and replaced with insulated drapes...a lot lighter and a lot less work to keep clean:).....With the dual pane windows, we don't get condensation on the windows, at least that's been the case since we purchased it new in Oct. of 07'. We don't use a dehumidifier or any of the "drying" agent type things you can purchase. We will leave some roof vents open at times.

The interior humidity is 28%. Not much. I think this fiver is sealed pretty well. If I don't keep the vents cracked, they will condensate and drip. I can't imagine what it would be like in FL. I'm leaning toward going to the DI or Goodwill and getting a blanket to make a couple of shades to hang on rods in place of the blinds.
