Well we went to "try out" everything out in the Jayco Octane, to no avail. Generator would not start. Battery powered nothing in the trailer. Hooking up the power to my truck, no turn signals, brakes, ect. They said they will try to find out the issue and have it fixed, blah blah blah, oh an they want a $500 deposit to "hold it for me." Which I politely declined. Told them to call me when the trailer is actually working, an I may still consider it.
We just looked at a VERY well kept, and maintained 2005 Weekend Warrior FS3000, with updated 2007 interior and Onan Gold 5.5k generator. Yes I have read about all the problems with WW frames, wall sag, ect. Did not notice any signs of that on this trailer. Everything worked great. Only issues, was a "fist" sized hole in the canvas on the awing. Not a problem I have a friend that has a canvas repair shop.
So right now, we are pretty set on this Weekend Warrior. It has everything we need, and even things I dont or planned to upgrade later, like solar charging system. And its a better price then the non working dealership trailer.
The Blaze'N is still a option, but I think 14k is a little high for a '03, I cant even get the NADA to say its worth that. Weekend Warrior is 13,000.
