Controlled motion door
On the Keystone Sprinter the entrance door has what is called "controlled motion". Two of the hinges are spring loaded, so when opening the door it stays where you put it, without latching it.
Do any of you have experience with this kind of door. We own a Keystone Cougar and it has a gas shock at 90 degrees, and tends to feel like it is narrowing the opening when going in and out of the 5th wheel. I am thinking of adapting the hinge from the sprinter to a cougar, if it is as good as they say and it stands up well without constant issues.
Appreciate comments on this.
