I know this gets touched on occasionally but I'd like to see a full discussion. I have load rating E tires. 3450 lbs at 80 psi. I run about 5000 lbs per axel. I've seen the ratio addressed: 2500/34...

The tech for ST tires are about the same as for truck and LT tires.
All tires pressure advice is all about load on the tire, and the speed the maximum load is given for.
so in that order a 5th-wheeler is no different from a motorhome or truck. Even unequall loading apeares for 5th-wheelers and trailers with tandem axles, the same as for motorhomes front and rear axle.
So its comparing aples to aples,but something like Elstar to Jonagold.
