In order to park my fiver I need to back over the curb.I have used a series of planks to ramp the trailer over the curb. The weight of the trailer destroys these after a few uses.Has anyone figured a better way, as the city will not allow a second drive approach to the property?

Driveway curb bridgeI've seen these used for 'soft' driveway curbs (sorry I don't know what the real name is, but the pic on the link shows it well). Maybe it would work for your application?

I've build ramps from stacked plywood or 2x4's, 2x6's, 2x8's, 2x10's and 2x12's. Pre-drill the holes and screw them together.Another option are these.Price-wise, you might come out better buying the ramps. Wood has gotten expensive lately.How tall is the curb and do you need a ramp on both sides?OJ

It is real easy put your truck in 4 wheel drive low range and back right over the curb with ease.

My solution is to obtain a couple of those red landscape timbers from your llcal home center and place them at the curb. Driving the 5er over is almost like using a ramp bbuuttwat less expensive.

There is a danger getting out of bed every morning also.

There is always someone with a smart assed comment. So do you what you want.

I'm speaking from experience. It took me a few times of backing over a curb before I figured out it was damaging my fivers tires. Now that I have gone to the xps ribbed tires they can take a curb, but most other's get damage.

Your are not going to hurt your tires by backing over a curb. If your tires are already shot then no its not gonna help. My comment was smart ass just saying stuff happens.

Yea if the tires can't handle going over the curb they sure can't handle the horrible roads out there!

I'm interested in why the OP's local gubbiment won't allow him to install a driveway apron at the curb.............Seriously, what is the harm/issue? :h

i pyt a 2 x12 parallel with the curb then i put a 2 x 6 on top of that. then i just ease up the curb.

I use a dually. I just back right over the curb.

I wish there was an easy way to "shave" the curb.

Thanks for the info.

The city will only let you have a 22 foot cut in the curb for driveway.
With the trailer I really need a third drive drive way
As they are one of the few around here to let a RV park beside your house on a slab. I will not try for a rule change

I will explore a couple of the ideas you gave me.
