I am looking for a new hitch as well. I'm currently considering the Curt Q24 and the Reese Elite.
I have read posts on this forum that some of the Curt hitches can be a bit finicky to connect and disconnect, but once used to the process it's not an issue. Suggest you do a search to gain more info.
Just wait a bit and I'm sure you'll be hearing from the B&W crowd, which from what I have seen is an excellent choice. If they only made a 25K to drop in a Ford with 5th wheel prep :(
Blame Ford for the stupid puck design, which is about 12" less fore/aft than the Ram and GM designs.

Reese make a 25k hitch to drop into the Ford fifth wheel prep kit.... Not sure why B&W won't rate their hitch accordingly. Seems to be a build/design issue with B&W and not with the fifth wheel prep package.
Anyway, not sure it really matters, that 25k hitch from Reese is a great product. I love the single hook jaw design... And it is a BEEFY hitch.
As to the puck layout itself... The Ford/Reese system is a proven design so it really seems to be moot. I haven't read of any failures or other problems with the Elite system. Other than its pretty pricey...lol. Which may or may not be a problem. Lol
Thanks!
