Curt fifth Wheel Hitches

I'm sure the Curt hitch would look worlds better to some if the only change was "Brand A" labelling.

I'm sure even the Andersen would look beefier if it had been introduced by their favorite hitch maker.

Everyone has their favorite and everyone feels a need to defend their choices.

This exact thing just went around on another thread recently. Read your link carefully. It's a deceptive play on words. They say all receiver hitches and wiring harnesses are made in the USA. Then, go on to say Curt also sells a variety of hitches, etc, etc.

The "variety of hitches" aren't made in the USA. They technically don't say they are but it's extremely deceptive at best.

I saw it mentioned a few times here that Curt hitches were made in China. All Curt hitches are made in USA.

Let me try to explain this to you ;)

I had both, the Curt pins for the Q16 were smaller, I compared.

I had more foot slop in the rails and the hitch legs would move around.

This is with the Curt custom Ford rail kit.

I have to tap the B&W pins in sometimes, due to the TIGHTER tolerances.

The legs of the B&W Patriot fit sunggly in the rails and smaller feet.

The B&W leg pins are lager and the part that fits in the rails are larger with no slop.

No physics involved, the Curt Q16 came with smaller diameter pins.

I will be able to look at the 25K RAM/Curt I posted the pics of tomorrow and look to see if the attaching devices look any different.

This could have been the reason. I have no information one way or the other to prove this theory though so take it for what it is.

Actually, I think the hitches in question are for the puck system, in which case the fastening pins/twist locks could be different sized, between the Curt and B&W.
