To Me Again:
I spoke directly to B&W and they do not make over 20,000 lb. puck system for GM & Ford at this time not to say they won't in the future. I really liked the fact B&W had 1 1/8 thick contact on the pulling surface of the pin. Common sense means very little when the gentleman already had his mind set on the Curt, in which case I'm happy for him.
What SAE standard does B&W rate their hitch by? I see no mention on their site. The Curt meets SAE J2638. Also, you say B&W has a 1 1/8" contact. B&W states the jaw is 1" thick. Do you have a special build hitch with thicker jaws? Looks like somebody is missing some common sense in their measuring, don't you think?
By the way, I had a B&W before I bought a Curt. It was a good hitch, no problems, good customer service. Fortunately I am not a fanboy and will actually look at other products the same way I did before I bought my new truck. I guess I see no reason on spending more money on something that is rated to do less. Also found the majority who have an issue with a Curt hitch have never owned one and are in the B&W fanboy club.
I have already hooked up the Curt and am very pleased with it.
