- Ofc950ExplorerMy cable is in the rear so I'm adding a receiver to the rear and putting a basket on it for the generator. And wanted to see some pictures of basket bike rack combos. For the rear. Thanks
- army_guy1ExplorerI've added a bike rack to the front kingpin on my 5er and works great for the bikes. I've seen someone on the Montana website add one on the front for a generator. bet a bike rack could be made to be added.
I would add a picture but can't figure out how. :? - 3_dog_nightsExplorerI'd be cautious of the bike's weight being extended like that. It will increase the downward pressure on the original connection point. If you could find one of these, I'd try to strap the top of the rack back to the hitch point just for the piece of mind.
- Ofc950ExplorerThat might work. I did see one that had a rack on top of the basket and the bikes mounted to it by the wheels. There were 4 corner post going up the across the top boxing it in. Then the mounts were welded to the top
- Sundance07ExplorerI have saved this pic from a member. Here is his setup....
- Ofc950ExplorerDid search can't find it
- Golden_HVACExplorerHave you done a "Advanced Search" with "Rack" in the top of the list, and go back about 6 months?
Fred. - Ofc950ExplorerThank you but I've seen it on here they posted a picture. My gen is 78 lbs and the two bikes won't bring me over the limit. If I make it out of aluminum. Also I have. Turbo eng and can't block air flow in front on the truck
- PapPappyExplorerDon't know if it's custom, but you can usually find those cargo racks that fit in the receiver, with a receiver socket on the back of it......then just get a receive hitch bike rack to put into it.
I'd question just how much weight you will hold though? A few bikes would almost limit what you could put on the rack....and a generator would do the same as far as the bikes are concerned.
How about a front mount receiver hitch on the truck...then put the bikes or the generator up there??
