- beemerphile1ExplorerGot back home yesterday (Sunday).
Had a great time although I caught a cold before leaving and was sick all week. Weather was in the seventies every day I was there and only rained one time overnight.
After over 25 visits to Bike Week I would have to say this week's weather was almost perfect. - joebedfordNomad IIINext year.

I own Moto Hose and hit the East SX and National rounds to do rider support. Will be at Vegas for the 1st time this year.
Vending what? Didn't you get to see the races? I watched SX on TV like I do every week. One of these times I gotta go, but it will probably be Vegas cuz its lots closer for me...plus its Vegas and the track is intimate.
BTW the Detroit round this week has had a channel change (Fox 1 or 2) and its going to be aired later (not live) - d-mac1ExplorerVending what? Didn't you get to see the races? - lumpy790ExplorerSpent Supercross saturday vending ... in the sun then Sunday at the GNCC ... in the sun..... came home badly sun burnt!
- SteeljagExplorerWell as usual the weather people were wrong! Never got out of the 50's today. Ugly and overcast! Those "weather people" are now reporting it should be clear / sunny/ and in the low 70's Saturday and Sunday.
Plenty of good open road riding outside the Daytona Beach area. A1A north from Daytona to St. Augustin, with a stop at Fins in Flagler is one of my favorites! - rcpd34ExplorerI went last year; don't think it's in the cards this time. We stayed in a nice campground in Port Orange. Cost $600 in diesel to haul my camper down there :-/
I've already made a reservation at Ocean Lakes for Myrtle Beach this year. Can't wait. - LowRyterExplorerI am camping a Debary at Lake Monroe. Leaving today. See you there.
- beemerphile1ExplorerFor me the main attraction of Daytona above all other bike events is the timing. Early to mid March is a great time to escape the frozen tundra up here in Ohio and go somewhere warm. There are thousands of places to go in the summer, only one place in the late winter.
After I get home from Bike Week every year, I know it is only a few weeks until spring. - afishinadoExplorer IIOf course... I'm less than 3 hours and planning a day trip next week. Won't know which day until I see it will be warm'n'sunny. Leave at 7am, home again by 10pm. My RV's home (when not travelling) will be in a park 48 miles from Leesburg, the first time I expect to really use it will be for Bikefest. BTW, the riding area is 10X better than at Daytona, yes there are more bars and vendors at Daytona if that's your thing, I get my annual fill of that at the Black Hills Rally. http://www.leesburgbikefest.com/
