When I bought this truck I ordered a RAX jailbreak kit from Customtronics. The version I went with added support for the front camera and the cargo camera. I used the cargo camera input to hook up the video feed from the trailer. The trailer input must be chosen by activating the cargo camera view on the display when needed.
My system is actually slightly more complex I actually have the option to view a Front cam, rear cam (tailgate), Cargo cam, Kids DVD, and trailer cam on my 8.4. Technically the RAX system only adds 1 input but I have added a 3 way video selector (manually activated) to the mix so once I choose the cargo cam setting I can toggle between what actually gets fed into the cargo cam wiring.
