Decal repair

How did these decal repairs work out? Has anyone used edge sealer?

I did it yesterday, trimmed the affected areas, then sealed all the edges with fly-tying head cement, which is clear and waterproof, so I figure it should work well. We'll see. Thanks for all the replies.:)

I used a light "violet" nail polish! Never thought about using clear! :S

Not necessairly true. Factory decals are total junk. A good sign shop can get quality material that will last. Next best thing is peal and paint.

When you think about it you are really taking care of free advertising for the manufacturer. Mine are still holding strong after eight years. If they get bad I will remove and replace with something of my choosing. Custom graphics are easy to find on line. You would thing of all things they would atleast put some quality into their name decal?

I'm replacing the front graphing on my carriage cameo, previous owner removed it probably because it peeled. Quote for a 4 colour replacement graphic was only $150 installed. A bargain in my eyes.

thanks, that is what I was thinking but glad to hear from someone who has done it
