Decal repair

The decals on my fiver are starting to curl on the edges, not bad yet but I want to try to fix them before they get too bad. My thoughts are to flatten the edges down then cover the edges with a clear sealant/glue. I'm not sure if this will work, or what to use. Anyone got any ideas or thoughts on the subject?
  • I repaired my front graphics 2 years ago. There was about 1/16" curling on the top of the letters on the front cap only. I took a sharp razor blade, trimmed off the curled areas (making a new straight edge along the tops of each letter). I then applied a thin coat of clear nail polish on the new cut edges. It hasn't peeled since and can not see the nail polish. I used a very detailed approach and again applied the nail polish very carefully not to put on too thick or any wider than needed.
