Demco Hitch

Any of you guys have a Demco Highjacker auto slide hitch. DH is looking for hitches and really likes this one. Just needing pros and cons. Thanks Tara
  • I like mine a lot, too! One of the plusses is the fact you don't need a 'key' for the hitch pin, just the rails on the hitch do the turning...which means you can hookup and tow any 5th wheel with a king pin . Some kingpins require an adapter on the hitch's head, but it will still hook up with out a key.

Just had mine since spring and have about 5,000 miles on it.

It is heavy duty :) I bought a hoist from Harbor Freight that I put in the garage rafters to lift it out with.

Demco customer service has been great...

  • I have a Demco Glide Ride pin box on my CC. Great product.

The only draw back to the Hijacker Slider Hitch IMHO is the draw bar lock.

I much prefer the wrap around the king pin latch on my Pullrite 16K SuperGlide.

  • Have the 18k HJ autoslide, pull a 15 k fiver, over 55000 miles on it. Just rebuilt the top part of the head, excellent hitch, very heavy.Mine has the slide bar, the new ones have the jaw type clamp.Very good service from Demco.
  • it works flawlessly and exactly as described.

on edit: I bought when it was Hijacker made in Canada. I don't know if the new company made any changes.
