If you are going to the North Side of Dallas, cut off at Decatur, TX on 380, across thru Denton and then go on towards Mckinney, you can then go down to your Destination from several other routes that way. Just try and stay away from Dallas proper.
Very good and pertinent advice - we live in the Fort Worth area and Loop 820 is a mess. Stay North of it.
