Did you get the MorRyde suspension? If so, Jayco sets it at the lowest of two settings. I had mine raised to the higher setting, which lifted the unit by about 1 3/4 inches. I also lowered the hitch one notch and now tow perfectly level !!
I contacted MorRyde directly to ask about the height changes, and was told the shocks would probably be too short ... which they were. They also told me the shocks Jayco uses are very light duty and that I really didn't need them with their suspension anyway ... so I opted to go without. I can't even tell the difference.
If don't have the Morryde, then the Jake Plate on the suspension gives you a few height adjustment options...
I tow with a 4x4 Chevy 2500HD with slightly larger tires then stock ... so the extra height was needed.
