A cautionary note on Jayco Designer valences:
On both our 2000 Designer 3110RLTS and our 2006 34RLQS we had problems with the valences, i.e. the upholstered box-like fixtures that hold the drapes and day/night shades, being insufficiently anchored. In both cases we had them actually fall out during travel; and in the case of the 34RLQS, doing some damage both to the interior of the trailer and to the shade in the process. Now we've had a similar problem with the shade at the rear of the curb-side slide, i.e. the slide with the 2 chairs and table, in the new trailer. It was secured by only 2 screws, and the one furthest from the curb wall had missed anything substantial and pulled out. The valence didn't fall because it remained secure with one screw but how long that would have lasted is anyone's guess. I think it's worth checking to make sure the screws are all into something solid and to even run a few more screws in to make sure. .....
