Same here, no dual pane. 100 deg outside, best we could muster was 80 in the heat of the day. Both units did not kick off until about 8 pm. One thing I did notice was the front unit was extremely wet, lots of condensation, but the rear unit was nearly dry, although slightly dripping off the roof. From another post it seems a 20 deg differential is the best we might expect. One of the jobs this weekend was to measure for tint for the windows. We'll see how much that is!!!
We had no issues with the fridge though.
One odd thing I found this weekend. We had the water heater on electric. Well while in the basement working on installing the EMS power management system (yes....100 deg outside!!!) I heard the LP running. I'm nearly positive it was the water heater. With just electric on, will it use LP to keep up maybe? Nothing else was being used. Fridge was on a/c mode and we didn't crack the stove all weekend? Any ideas?
On a side note that Progressive Industries EMS unit is very nice. Mounting was a bear and there was very little slack to work with on the THICK power wire to the breaker panel. I need to get my angle drill to get some of the other screws in. Right now it's hanging from one screw behind the power panel. The display works well and confirmed that we had good power levels. Nice to know when you are wondering. Also it shows how many amps your using. Also good to know when I'm sizing a generator.
